OUR FUNDING SOURCES A significant portion of CRS funding comes from our own fundraising efforts, including the signature Charity Ball, held annually in January, and additional special events, such as the Buckeye Bash, sponsored by Montrose Kia; Homeruns for Hunger, sponsored by the Lake Erie Crushers; and annual food drives such as the SOUPerbowl, sponsored by the school districts of Avon and Avon Lake; and the newly announced UNFood Drive, a collection of paper products and other household “essentials,” sponsored by the Chicks Against Hunger. In addition, CRS has been successful in diversifying funding sources to permit financial stability. Food grants through Second Harvest Food Bank and Lorain County Community Action Agency have helped stock the food pantry. Partnerships have been formed with both local school districts, encompassing almost every grade level in both Avon Local and Avon Lake City Schools. Many local churches regularly support CRS financially and with in-kind donations. CRS is also grateful to the following for their significant financial support: • The City of Avon • The City of Avon Lake • The Alyce J. and Ann J. Metka Charitable Foundation • The Nordson Corporation Foundation • Community West Foundation • The Salvation Army • The Eagle Run CommitteeThe support received from all of our funding source plays an integral role in the ability of CRS to continually serve the citizens of Avon and Avon Lake in the most efficient and needed manner possible. We couldn’t do our jobs without each and every one of you, and truly appreciate your on-going contributions! Please Support Our Charity Ball Sponsors! Click Here. |
